Zoe-perry

Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Two of her earliest television performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed her role. Fearing stress, her parents didn't want to see the actress pursue acting until turning 18. Perry says she didn't want to perform in high school but decided to take up performing as a form of social interaction while at Northwestern University when she switched from Boston University. Perry started her acting career in New York after graduation, performing in minor parts on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry come back to California and find work as a stage actress. Perry was a part of Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015, she appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. In the same year, her character was cast a young version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again as a teen version of her mother's role. The part was offered by audition even though she is a relative to the role.
